Insurance companies’ electronic registration services

Insure and register your vehicle at the same time using your insurance company's services.

Vehicles used in traffic must have motor vehicle liability insurance (External link). When you buy a vehicle, you must acquire a motor vehicle liability insurance and register the change of ownership within seven days of the purchase.

You can use insurance companies' electronic registration services to insure and register your vehicle at the same time. Registration using Traficom’s electronic services (External link) requires a valid motor vehicle liability insurance for the vehicle. Insurance companies’ electronic registration services are only available for individual customers.

Go to the website of the insurance company of your choice:

You can also insure and register your vehicle personally at an insurance company or inspection station providing vehicle registration services. The car dealership or finance provider may also insure and register the vehicle for you when you purchase the vehicle.
