Apply for exemption from airworthiness oversight fee

According to Amendment 434/2023 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Charges Regulation on Transport, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency will no longer be able to grant exemptions from the airworthiness oversight fee.

The airworthiness oversight fee is charged from all aircraft, which are in the aircraft registry on the first day of a calendar year, aircraft removed from registry later in the year included. The fee is charged from the registered owner or operator.

In order to be used in aviation, an aircraft has to be registered. If an aircraft is out of commission for longer periods of time, it might be expedient to remove it from the aircraft register. An aircraft that has previously been registered in Finland, will be given the same registration marking as before.
