Nautical chart products

Both paper and electronic nautical charts are produced in Finland. The coordinate system used for nautical charts is WGS-84.  General information about nautical charts can be found here .

Paper nautical charts are produced using the international chart symbols (INT). The chart symbols are based on the international standard S-4 of the International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO). You can find an updated list of the current editions of paper charts here (External link).

The production of electronic nautical charts complies with the international standard S-57, IHO Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data. This standard defines the technical implementation of electronic nautical chart material.

The product list (External link) is a web-based service, which contains updated information on both paper and electronic nautical charts.
