A historic vehicle (vehicle of historical interest)

At least 30 years have passed since the year of manufacture of a historic vehicle (vehicle of historical interest) and it is still in its original condition or has been appropriately restored. A statement of eligibility as a historic vehicle can be issued by a national registered historic vehicle organisation such as Suomen Automobiili – Historiallinen Klubi ry (The Finnish Historical Automobile Club) (External link), FHRA ry (Finnish Hot Rod Association) (External link), Classic Data (External link) or Autohistoriallinen Seura ry (Historical Automobile Society) (External link).

Note that the Vehicles Act does not place restrictions on historic vehicles operating time. Operating time limits are related to the vehicle’s insurance - please contact your own insurance company for further information!
