After authentication, choose “Acting on behalf of a company/organisation” as your user role.
If a vehicle has been registered with both an owner and a holder in the Transport Register, it is the holder who is liable to pay the tax. As the first owner of the vehicle, you can submit an application to have the tax liability transferred to you. This form cannot be used for changing vehicle registration data, e.g. a change of ownership.
Use the electronic service (only companies/organisations) if
- you wish to transfer the tax liability for a vehicle you own from its holder to yourself.
- you wish to terminate an agreement on transferring tax liability.
Private individuals and others who cannot use the electronic service can print out and fill in the application form (External link) and send it to the address given in the form.

Select Apply for transfer of tax liability under Services

Select the desired service and fill in the application form
You can apply for an agreement on transferring tax liability or the termination of an agreement on transferring tax liability.
Submit the application
Traficom processes your application and sends you the decision in writing.
