Thinking about buying a new car? Want to find the greenest alternative? Visit the revamped Car Comparison Service at autovertaamo.fi and find the low emission vehicle that best meets your needs.
The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom’s Car Comparison Service contains key information on all new car models sold in Finland. For example, the service helps you compare different models with your current car. The service is free of charge.
The label “Low CO2 in its class” highlights cars with lowest emissions
The label “Low CO2 in its class” in a vehicle’s data indicates that the model in question is one of the greenest cars in its group. To be awarded the label, a car has to be among the 10 per cent of cars with the lowest CO2 emissions in its group.
Low emissions a new search criterion
“To make it easier to compare vehicles that are more eco-friendly, we added low emissions among the search criteria. Limiting the search to low emissions is a simple way to find all vehicles with CO2 emissions of 0–50 g/km,” says Adviser Erno Aholammi from Traficom.
The data in the Car Comparison Service is gathered from car importers’ data and the data Traficom collects in connection with type-approvals.
