Signing a register notification

A register notification may be made by individuals who are 15 years of age.

Boats with several owners

The notification may be made by one of the owners though the boat has several owners. As a signatory, you will be liable for having agreed on the matter with the other owners.

Boats with owners and holders

As the owner of the boat, you may make all register notifications applicable to the watercraft.

As the holder of the boat, you may make all data changes related to the boat or its engine and order a registration certificate or its copy. At the holder of the boat, you may not make changes related to ownership or deregister the boat.

If the watercraft is purchase as a credit transaction, the issuer of the credit is always entered as the owner in the register and you are its holder.

Boats owned by estates of a decedent

The signature of one party to the estate is sufficient for signing the register notification. It is not necessary to verify the estate inventory deed. Instead, the signatory shall be liable for having agreed on the matter with parties to the estate.

Authorisation

When the register notification has been signed based on an authorisation, it is not necessary to present the power of attorney in connection with the registration. As a signatory, you will be liable for your right to sign the notification.
