Apply for a safety authorisation or submit a notification
If you are an infrastructure manager, you can apply for a safety authorisation.
If you are an infrastructure manager of a private siding, you only need to submit a notification.
In the case of new railway infrastructure, apply for an authorisation for placing in service
New railway infrastructure to be constructed requires an authorisation for placing in service issued by Traficom.
Conclude an agreement between infrastructure managers
Conclude an agreement between infrastructure managers with the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency or infrastructure managers. For example, when connecting to the state-owned railway network, the agreement covers operating services between railway networks, traffic control, the dividing line between railway networks, its ownership and maintenance, as well as cooperation between infrastructure managers.
To enter into an agreement, the infrastructure manager of private railway infrastructure must submit a free-form request to the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency at kirjaamo(at)vayla.fi.
