Data collected from taxi operations

Holders of taxi transport licences and dispatch centres must provide Traficom with information regarding their business activities. We use the data collected to provide consolidated information about the passenger transport market to support social debate and decision-making. The information regarding taxi operations is used to monitor the regional demand for and supply of taxi services and the pricing of the services.

Obligation to provide information is based on act on Transport Services and The Traficom regulation regarding information on the demand for and supply of passenger transport services and price information on taxi services.

Note! Annual monitoring data of taxi companies will not be collected in 2025.

All holders of a taxi transport licence must submit to Traficom information on their taxi business for market monitoring purposes. Traficom uses the information to monitor the regional demand for and supply of taxi services and the pricing of the services. The data has been collected in the spring.

Traficom is currently renewing the annual data collection process for the taxi sector. As a result, no annual monitoring data will be collected in 2025. Taxi companies will therefore not be required to submit their annual monitoring data for the year 2024 to Traficom in spring 2025.

CURRENT REQUESTS FOR TAXI COMPANIES TO REPORT INFORMATION

No ongoing data collections in 2025.

Taxi dispatch centres and large taxi companies (turnover in the previous fiscal year at least 7.5 million euros) must submit to Traficom monthly monitoring data for each taxi journey they dispatch/drive each month.

The obligation to collect monthly monitoring data begins on the first day of each month, and the data for that month must be submitted by the end of the following month. The monthly monitoring data is delivered as a CSV file to Traficom's data collection system.

In addition to monthly monitoring, dispatch centres must submit annual monitoring data regarding their business for market monitoring.  The data regarding annual monitoring has been traditionally collected in the spring. The annual monitoring data is submitted to Traficom's data collection system.

NOTE! This year, the annual monitoring data from dispatch centres will be collected only in early autumn 2025. Accordingly, dispatch centres are expected to submit their annual data for 2024 only in August–September 2025. Traficom will contact the dispatch centres separately regarding the data collection.

Dispatch centres must submit the 2024 annual monitoring data in Traficom’s data collection system by 22 September 2025. The related information request and the link to the data collection system can be found below.
