The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom's organisational structure is reformed
The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom's organisational structure is reformed starting on 1 October 2024 to consist of eight sectors and five impact networks. The aim is for the new organisational structure to be as clear as possible, both in terms of substance and management. This will ensure the effective execution of the tasks assigned to the agency and better service to customers.
Traficom awards government grants for newspaper deliveries - preserving a nationwide distribution network as the objective
, updated at 12:46The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has awarded discretionary government grants for the delivery of newspapers in areas where there is no commercial five-day early delivery service. Thanks to these grants, five-day newspaper deliveries will remain possible throughout Finland, also in sparsely populated areas. The discretionary government grants were disbursed to delivery companies that undertook to offer deliveries meeting the conditions for the lowest grant amount.
Government grants available for newspaper delivery – grants granted for period starting on 1 October 2024
Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has launched an application round for government grants for newspaper delivery. Grants are available for the forthcoming period starting on 1 October 2024 and lasting one year. A total of EUR 15 million has been reserved for the government grant, the aim of which is to ensure the delivery of newspapers on five days a week throughout the country. The application round ends on 14 June 2024.
