Traficom assesses the approval of Tesla’s FSD (Supervised) system in Finland
Traficom is examining the approval of Tesla’s FSD (Supervised) driver assistance system in Finland on the basis of the provisional type-approval granted by the Netherlands. The agency is participating in the EU-level process, engaging in dialogue with the manufacturer and other authorities and assessing the safety of the system, particularly in Finnish conditions.
Driving Licence Act reform: stricter conditions for age exception permits and new restrictions on underage drivers
Amendments to the Driving Licence Act enter into force on Friday. The reform tightens the conditions for granting age exception permits and introduces restrictions on the driving rights of underage drivers. Some of the changes will enter into force later in autumn 2026.

Amendments to the Driving Licence Act will bring significant changes for 17-year-old passenger car drivers. A night-time driving ban will enter into force during the night between Thursday and Friday, 29 May 2026.
