Customer prices for watercraft registration
Customer prices for watercraft registration are determined in a Decree of the Ministry of Transport and Communications on fees charged by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom. The fees are collected from customers by the registration offices in accordance with the table annexed to the Decree. Value added tax is not included in the price.
Electronic registration services
- First registration 40€
- Change of owner/holder details using an e-certificate 25€
- notice that you need e-certificate from the owner while using the electronic services
- Change of ownership if watercraft has a notification of transfer 25€
- Reregistration of a deregistered watercraft 40 €
- notice, that watercraft needs to have a WIN-code, while using the electronic services
- Duplicate or replacement of a lost or damaged registration certificate 20€
- No fee is charged for the following types of registration:
- Deregistration
- Change of engine
- Notification of transfer
- Change of technical details, for example name change.
Registration services in service points
- First registration 60€
- Change of owner/holder 40€
- notice, that you need deed of transfer, the e-certificate is valid only in the e-services
- Change of ownership if watercraft has a notification of transfer 40€
- Reregistration of a deregistered watercraft 40 €
- Duplicate or replacement of a lost or damaged registration certificate 20€
- No fee is charged for the following types of registration:
- Deregistration
- Change of engine
- Notification of transfer
- Change of technical details, for example name change.

Traficom handles the registrations in the following cases:
- Special identifiers 300€
- Trial number 30€
- Registration extract, including stamp and signature 20€
- Permanent deregistration is free of charge.
