Apply for the electronic certificate of conformity (eCoC) for vehicles
In this service, you can apply for the electronic certificate of conformity for a vehicle.
What is an electronic certificate of conformity
The electronic certificate of conformity eCoC is a manufacturer’s certificate of the technical data and conformity with the requirements.
You can use eCoC:
- in the registration inspection to demonstrate that the vehicle meets the requirements
- in the individual approval based on the technical data of the vehicle from the previous stage of manufacture.
When can you apply for eCoC
You can apply for the certificate in the service only if the vehicle manufacturer has made the electronic certificate available. As of 5 July 2026, the manufacturer does not have to give a paper form certificate of conformity, if the vehicle has been given an electronic certificate. This applies to:
- vehicles for transporting persons, such as passenger cars and buses (vehicles in category M)
- vehicles for transporting goods, such as vans and lorries (vehicles in category N)
- trailers (vehicles in category O)
What to do

Log in to My e-Services
After identification, select your role: services for private individuals, acting on behalf of another person, or acting on behalf of a company or an organisation.
- Step 2
Search for the vehicle information
You need the vehicle identification number (VIN) in order to download eCoC from the service.
- Step 3
Download eCoC certificate
If the eCoC has been made available you can download it free of charge from the service.
