Contact point fi-domain name registry - Digital Services Act (DSA)

The aim of the Digital Services Act is to promote the reliability and safety of online services. The act establishes uniform rules for the provision of brokering and dispatch services in the EU's internal market and regulates the supervision of network brokering and dispatch services. Many types of internet service providers are subject to regulation, domain name registries and domain name registrars are also included in the regulation.

The so-called due diligence obligation of the regulation concern both fi-domain name registry and fi-domain name registrars, which include the designation of a central point of contact and a possible EU representative, obligations related to terms of use and transparency reporting, and the obligation to react to a national judicial or administrative authority's request for information about recipients of the service or an order regarding the service itself.

You can read more about the obligations laid down for different operators on Data economy and digital services site , especially in the section Operators and services according to the Digital Services Act.
