List of Lights (Marine)
List of Lights is a nautical publication that contains detailed information about navigational lights and other aids to navigation used at sea. In this service, you can search for lights by criteria, or download PDF publications.
Search service
You can search lights based on the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency database. The service enables searching by different criteria, including sea-area, chart and time of last modification. Even though the interface of this service is translated to English, the actual data is available only in Finnish.
List of Lights as PDF publication
Lists of Lights are available as downloadable PDF publications. The publication is divided into sections in order to facilitate both usage and updating.
General information is found in a separate publication. The tables of lights are separated into different publications for coastal areas and inland waterways.
Please note that only local languages (Finnish and Swedish) are used for descriptions in the tables. Please, refer to the General information for brief explanations in English.
Updating of the List of Lights
The search service is updated within a few days, based on the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency database. PDF publications are issued a few times each year. New editions are announced within the Notices to Mariners.
