Traficom publishes guidance on using public transport with an assistance dog
, updated at 9:11The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has published a guide to using public transport services when travelling with an assistance dog. The guide covers all modes of public transport, including taxis and air travel. The purpose of the guide is to make it easier to travel with an assistance dog in Finland. Traficom monitors the realisation of the rights of air, rail, ship, bus and coach passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility.

, updated at 15:40According to the Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, the quality of the subtitling service of the Nelonen TV channel fulfils the requirements imposed on it regarding adequate clarity and understandability. The duty of Traficom is to further the accessibility of media services by, among other things, supervising the quality of the subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing on the channels of the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE, as well as on the MTV3 and Nelonen channels.

According to law, subtitles must be sufficiently clear and easy to understand for viewers. Traficom has the duty to promote the availability of accessible media services for special groups.
