Frequently asked questions about audio-subtitling and subtitling services for TV programmes

Audio-subtitling and subtitling services have to be provided for a certain share of TV programmes and corresponding programmes in on-demand programme services. The quotas are laid down in the Act on Electronic Communications Services and they are calculated as percentages of the annual volume of programme hours on the channel in question. The requirement to provide audio-subtitling and subtitling services only applies to certain television programmes and on-demand programme services.
