Permits for radio jamming devices
You need a permit in advance to own, import, or use radio jamming devices. Starting July 1, 2026, a new change in the law makes it illegal and punishable to own or import these devices without a permit. However, authorities can still use them under certain conditions. Other users can also get a permit for scientific research, commercial product development, and testing. The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) is the authority that gives these permits and monitors their use.
