Counteract crime against aviation – Security

The objective of aviation safety is to prevent crime associated with aviation.

Passengers, crew members, ground staff, the public and property must be protected from sabotage, hijackings, the taking of hostages, etc. Aviation security measures do not currently affect drone activities, but remote pilots must be aware of aviation safety and aviation safety measures.

In Finland, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom is the authority in charge of aviation safety and monitoring aviation safety. Traficom maintains and develops the Finnish Aviation Safety Programme (FASP) and the Finnish Plan for Aviation Safety

This programme contains the Finnish national requirements, but national requirements are governed by international rules and shared EU directives. The shared EU directives are available in regulations (EC) 300/2008 and (EU) 2015/1998.

Different requirements in different countries

Each state has their own aviation safety authority, and the regulations and requirements in different countries may differ from each other substantially.
