Type inspections of ultralight aircraft

A type inspection and the type approval issued based on the inspection enable commercially manufactured ultralight aircraft to be imported into Finland or be built commercially in Finland.

The application and inspection process for type inspections is governed by Aviation Regulation (available in Finnish and Swedish). The type inspection application is submitted as a free-form application, and it must be accompanied by the documents specified in section 10 of Regulation AIR M5-10.
